After two years of virtual festing, the Wild & Scenic Film Festival returns as an in-person event February 16th to the 20th, featuring many mainstay elements of the past, including the fun 3D film session on Thursday evening and the beloved Saturday Morning Kid’s Films session. One of the nation’s largest environmental and adventure film festivals, attendees will enjoy a wide variety of award-winning films about nature, activism, and adventure. The 2023 edition will feature a program including 23 features and 105 short films, continuing to bring together top filmmakers, activists, and social innovators to inspire environmental awareness and action.
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is the successful event that it is because of all the hard working, dedicated volunteers who staff the myriad of roles necessary. We are still looking to fill nearly 500 shifts at this year’s Wild & Scenic Film Festival. All volunteer roles play a meaningful part in the festival production – and there’s something for all interests and skills.
Also, do you know a teen who’s interested in filmmaking or the environmental fields? They’re welcome to sign-up for a shift as well, with parent/guardian permission. Ages 13 and up are welcome.
We are still seeking numerous festival leaders to take on the roles of Venue Captain and Tech Lead. Other positions with the “greatest need” for sign-ups: the Tech 2 Crew and the Environmental Action Table shifts.
When you sign-up to volunteer for the film festival, your shifts worked will be rewarded with film session tickets (1 volunteer shift = 1 film session ticket).
