Help with SYRCL’s Restoration Efforts at Hammon Bar in May

Share with Your People

SYRCL implemented the first habitat restoration project on the Lower Yuba River in 2011 and 2012, by planting over 6,500 willow and cottonwood trees and shrubs at Hammon Bar. Each year, SYRCL returns to Hammon Bar in order to assess the project and track how quickly the plantings are growing. Join us for our seventh year of monitoring. Together we’ll venture down to the Yuba Goldfields and measure the survivorship and growth of the riparian vegetation.

Volunteer shifts are offered weekdays through Friday, May 24.

Monday, May 13 – Friday, May 17, 8am-4pm
Monday, May 20 – Friday, May 24, 8am-4pm

We’ll meet at the SYRCL office (313 Railroad Ave, Nevada City) and carpool to the site. Register to volunteer hereQuestions? Contact Asia Jones, Restoration Coordinator at (530) 265-5961 ext. 216 or asia@yubariver.org.
