Thank you all for a truly amazing weekend at the 14th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival!

kialjames_wsff (63 of 63)Wild & Scenic is more than just a film festival, it is SYRCL’s largest fundraiser of the year and is one of the nation’s premiere environmental and adventure film festivals. We hope that after this weekend, you feel as INSPIRED and MOTIVATED as we do to go out and make a difference in your community, and the world, all year round.

We couldn’t produce this world-class film fest without the support of our National Partners, Local Sponsors, Venues, the Cities of Grass ValleyNevada City, and the 700 volunteers who donate their time and enthusiasm to the weekend’s events. For their support we are truly thankful.

Josh Miller (1 of 10)Our mission is to inspire people and unite communities to heal the earth. We show environmental and adventure films that illustrate the Earth’s beauty, the challenges facing our planet and the work organizations are doing to protect the environment. Through these films, Wild & Scenic both informs people about the state of the world and inspires them to take action. And in the spirit of this activism, SYRCL’s own Fish Don’t Drive Campaign was able to hit a milestone this weekend with your help. Thanks to all of you, we were able to smash our weekend goal and obtain more than 1,300 signatures during the festival for Governor Jerry Brown and U.S. Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker. Thank you to everyone who stopped by a SYRCL outreach booth this weekend, listened, learned and signed.

Take a trip down memory lane and relive some of the fun, educational and downright silly moments from this year’s festival. View the full weekend gallery here.
