Can’t Make It To The Cleanup? You Can Still Help.

Share with Your People

Early Saturday morning, September 19, nearly 600 volunteers will pull on their gloves, grab their trash bags, and fan out across 80 miles of rivers, streams, and creeks.

By the end of the day, they will have collectively given 2,400 hours to the Yuba River — hauling tires, collecting broken glass, removing household appliances, and picking up the tiny bits of plastic that do the quietest, most insidious damage to a river ecosystem.

The annual Yuba River Cleanup is one of the most powerful things our community does together. And it happens because people will show up Saturday the 19th, ready to work.

Can’t participate in the Cleanup this year? We’re asking you to match this volunteer effort — 2,400 hours of dedication and love for the Yuba — with a special gift. The countdown is on to meet our fundraising goal, and every contribution will make a difference for our volunteers and their cleanup efforts.

You may not be able to be out on the river on the Yuba River Cleanup day, but your donation is your contribution.

Your gift helps fund the logistics that transform 2,400 volunteer hours into real, on-the-ground impact: the dumpsters, the safety supplies, the site coordination, the trash disposal, and the water stations that keep our volunteers going through a long, hot September day.

Without donors like you, those 600 volunteers show up to nothing. With you, they make a measurable difference you can see across the watershed, from Marysville up to the Sierras.

Over 29 years, the Yuba River Cleanup has removed approximately 300,000 pounds of trash and debris from the watershed. Each pound removed means less plastic consumed by wildlife, fewer chemicals leaching into the water supply, and safer, healthier beaches and trails for our community.

This is what “People Can Save A River” looks like in practice. Please support this effort with a generous gift today.
