The Yuba-Bear Watershed Council will convene on November 14th for a special symposium highlighting presentations from outgoing AmeriCorps members on topics such as river monitoring, meadow restoration, education, and stewardship. This symposium will be a good opportunity to learn about some activities at the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL), Sierra Streams Institute, and other local conservation organizations. The purpose of the Yuba-Bear Watershed Council is to facilitate coordination and collaboration. SYRCL has initiated this special symposium with the intention of fostering more collaboration among various groups working on assessment and restoration projects in the Yuba River watershed. The symposium is free and open to the public.
