The Yuba River named one of America’s Most Endangered Rivers

Share with Your People

Today, American Rivers named the Yuba in its list of the Ten Most Endangered Rivers in the country.  This dubious distinction comes due to the operations by the Army Corps of Engineers at Daguerre Point and Englebright dams, operations which jeopardize the existence of three fish on the Yuba River – green sturgeon, steelhead, and Chinook salmon.

Though we are grateful to our allies at American Rivers for helping to shine a national spotlight on the plight of our river and our fish, today is not a day to celebrate, it is a day to act.

If you are interested in helping the Yuba and its salmon, please sign the petition to the Corps, and then contact Joshua Stark, campaign manager for Yuba Salmon Now!
