Protect Our Yuba This Summer as a River Captain

Share with Your People

Love the Yuba River? Concerned that things like fire or litter may compromise your favorite swimming hole?

Become a River Captain today to get paid to protect the river you love!

SYRCL is seeking to hire four part-time River Captains who are enthusiastic and passionate about the Yuba River and its health. The River Ambassador program runs 16 weekends between May 23rd and September 7th, with two trainings for Captains in May and July. River Captains work three to four weekends per month (6-hour shifts), spending Saturdays and Sundays at the river training and coordinating River Ambassador volunteers to educate visitors about best stewardship and fire-safety practices.
