Lower Yuba River Symposium July 9

Share with Your People

SYRCL encourages interested citizens to come learn about the Lower Yuba River on July 9 in Sacramento. The River Management Team of the Yuba Accord will be hosting its fourth annual Symposium, and the event is open to the public. This is a once-a-year opportunity for learning first-hand from scientists focused on Yuba River salmon and steelhead populations and their habitat.  The River Management Team includes representatives from Yuba County Water Agency, PG&E and five resource agencies.  SYRCL’s River Scientist has participated in the River Management Team since 2006, as a representative of non-governmental organizations.  The symposium will begin with an overview of monitoring and evaluation program of the Yuba Accord, and then present results from a variety of projects including counts of fish passing the Daguerre Point Dam ladders, fish tracking via telemetry, and spawning surveys. For more information, see the Symposium flyer or go to the website for the Yuba Accord RMT.  Contact SYRCL if you are interested in carpooling to the event.
