Julia Butterfly Hill to Join Rescheduled Youth for the Yuba Celebration
SYRCL Youth for Yuba Event Rescheduled during First Friday Art Walk!
Julia Butterfly Hill to join SYRCL to celebrate the talent and artistry of youth in this community.
Join us, Friday, June 3rd from 4-7pm for an evening of music, food, and fun activities for kids of all ages. You won’t want to miss the first ever Youth for the Yuba Celebration. This event will showcase the skill of young people in our community while displaying their passion for the Yuba River.
Don’t forget to bring your appetite because Horn of the Bull Taqueria food truck will be serving up tasty treats all day.

View artwork from SYRCL’s multimedia #ilovetheYuba art contest award winners, and learn about the many ways young people can get involved to make a positive impact in the community.
Activities will include an envirofair where students will learn about invasive species, recycling, explore macroinvertebrates through microscopes, and make salmon hats. There will also be face painting, a bean bag toss, and chalk drawing.
Julia Butterfly Hill will be present to visit with local youth and share her story.

This is truly a community event supported, by the Eco Nevada Union, Nevada Union Green Academy, Sierra Business Council, The Sierra Fund, Sierra Streams Institute, SYRCL, and Woolman Semester School. All organizations and clubs will have a booth and be available to share information about environmentalism in the watershed!
The fair will be held at the SYRCL office at 313 Railroad Ave. in Nevada City, CA from 4pm-7pm. We hope you can join us!
