Yuba Bear Watershed Council – Fire Science Presentations

SYRCL’s Forest Health Coordinator, Andrew Salmon, presented at the recent Yuba Bear Watershed Council on February 5. See presentations from Andrew, as well as North Yuba Forest Partner, Phil Saksa of Blue Forest Conservation, and Shelly Allen of the Tahoe National Forest, below. Prescribed Fire On Private
Lands Workshops – March 26

This workshop, offered by University of California, Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources, is designed for landowners and managers looking to gain skills in prescribed fire planning and implementation. The first day will consist of classroom lecture, instruction, and exercises. The second day will include a field trip to view lands actively managed with prescribed fire and take part in a prescribed fire, permit / weather allowing.
