Be Heard as NID Reconsiders Live-streaming

Share with Your People

Live-streaming will be addressed at the next NID Board meeting, June 28. You’ve helped tell NID to commit to live-streaming its meetings and to providing online video replay. Now help us fill the room to drive home this important message.

MEETING LOCATION: 1036 W Main St, Grass Valley, CA 95945
START TIME: 9:00am

BACKGROUND: In April 2016, over a year ago, three community groups (League of Women Voters, Federation of Neighborhood Associations, and SYRCL) sent NID a formal request to live-stream and broadcast its meetings. Unfortunately, after a year of NID committee meetings and negotiations, the Board rejected this request. Our groups applaud the leadership of Director Nancy Weber to advocate with her Board colleagues for this reasonable and cost-effective way to keep the public engaged and informed. More information from Yubanet here.

If you are unable to attend in-person, please SEND an e-mail to NID Board Members via our form here, or call NID at 530.273.6185.

NID MEETINGS & MINUTES will be posted at 5pm on Friday, June 23: https://nidwater.com/about-nid/meetings-minutes/

March in Grass Valley 4th of July Parade

Seeking 50 Dam Watchdogs volunteers to join Stand Up Nevada County to march in the Grass Valley 4th of July Parade. We need your help to make a big splash marching in opposition to Centennial Dam! Watchdogs will be hosting art parties before the parade to create the float.
