Please Park Responsibly
Parking outside of designated parking spots can lead to some dire consequences at the river. The threat of a parking ticket and fine is not the primary reason people should park responsibly. Safety is.

SYRCL is recruiting 100 volunteers to be River Ambassadors at the South Yuba River this summer. You can become a river steward and help protect the Yuba River from being “loved to death” by helping to educate guests about river safety and etiquette. Get involved today!
How can we teach our guests river safety and etiquette? Read some tips from our River Ambassador program (a collaboration with State Parks) that will help you talk to people about staying safe at the river and keeping the community safe as well.
Take action to help protect the Yuba River this summer by joining the 2022 River Ambassador team. Encourage visitors to think critically about threats to the river, and inspire stewardship to keep the river healthy, clean, and safe for all.
In October 2021, SYRCL released a Visitor Impacts Survey that asked respondents questions about the activities they support at the river, their concerns related to increased visitation, and the measures they would like to see put into place in order to address the ever-growing number of people coming to visit the Yuba.
The report includes not only the results of the survey, but SYRCL’s recommendations moving forward. SYRCL presented this information to the Yuba River Public Safety Cohort in February 2022 in order to inform future decisions about infrastructure, enforcement, and visitor education campaigns.
Tell us how the increase in visitors to the Yuba is impacting you.
