The Yuba Bear Watershed Council next meeting is on Thursday, February 21 from 10am – 12pm at the Gene Albaugh Community Room at the Madelyn Helling Library. The topic of this meeting is Techniques for Reducing Fire Severity in California, and will include discussions of fire, fuels reductions, management considerations and efforts.

Fire and Forest Health: Your Tahoe National Forest | 2018 | 12 min.

The meeting with kick-off with a 2019 Wild and Scenic Film Festival featured film, Fire and Forest Health: Your Tahoe National Forest. The film will be followed by presentations from Regine Miller (Camptonville Community Partnership), Christy Sherr (John Muir Project), Steve Graydon (Terra Fuego Resource Foundation), and Susan Rogers (Nevada County Coalition of Firewise Communities).

The Yuba Bear Watershed Council holds a quarterly meeting of agencies, non-profit organizations, private companies, and individuals that work on or are interested in natural resource and environmental issues across the Yuba and Bear watersheds.
