Wild for the Yuba — SYRCL’s Dinner & Auction fundraiser — is once again featuring one of the hottest up-and-coming bands from the North State, Broken Compass Bluegrass.

Based in northern California, Broken Compass Bluegrass includes Sam Jacobs, Kyle Ledson, Django Ruckrich, & Mei Lin Heirendt. Emerging as a band in 2021, the group has already been recognized for their tight arrangements, tasteful musicianship, and distinguished songwriting skills. The acoustic band’s genre is bluegrass / jamgrass. Their fretboard mastery and angelic harmonies add extra depth and dimension to their live shows which captivate their audiences. Creative and melodic original works are intertwined with a unique perspective of your favorite cover songs.

They perform frequently in Nevada County and the music festival circuit, having played at Jerry Bash, the Strawberry Music Festival, Hot Summer Nights, the Crazy Horse Saloon, the Hangtown Music Festival and more.

Broken Compass Bluegrass will be returning to Wild for the Yuba on Saturday, June 8th.

On June 8th at 6pm at the Schrammsberg, they’ll open Wild for the Yuba as SYRCL raises money for its scholarship fund and outdoor Education & Outreach Programs, like River Ambassadors and the Yuba River Cleanup.

Seating is limited. Ticket prices are $90 per person for SYRCL members and $95 for the general public. Ticket prices increase on May 19th. Reserved tables for groups of 8 are available, with discounts for current SYRCL members. When purchasing a table, this year you have the option to add on a table wine package, which includes one bottle each of red and white wine to share.

Admission includes appetizers, dinner, dessert, entry to silent & live auctions, musical entertainment, and outdoor patio seating. SYRCL will offer a no-host bar where it will sell beer and wine.

We hope to see you there!
