Parking Violations will be Actively Enforced at Edwards Crossing

Edwards Crossing on the Yuba River is a popular spot to beat the heat as the temperature rises.  However, the rugged terrain means that parking opportunities are limited.

It is very important that visitors to the river park their vehicles off the road and outside of designated no parking areas. Illegal parking is causing traffic congestion, increasing roadway danger, and is creating a public safety issue.   In the past several years, there have been several instances of emergency responders being unable to access the river due to parked vehicles blocking the road.

Parking violations will be actively enforced by the Nevada County Sheriff’s Department.

River goers are encouraged to park in designated areas.
