Caleb’s Farewell — Saturday, Sept 16

After six years at the helm of SYRCL, Caleb Dardick is stepping down as Executive Director. He’s chosen a mighty fine day to do it. Caleb’s last day lands in conjunction with the Yuba River Cleanup – Saturday, September 16th. This will be Caleb’s 7th Cleanup and SYRCL’s 20th. And we’re looking forward to celebrating him and all of you!
So after the Cleanup, join us at Pioneer Park, Nevada City from 1pm-5pm, where all registered volunteers will enjoy a complimentary picnic lunch of lemon herb rosemary chicken and veggie ratatouille, delicious side salads from BriarPatch Co-op, fruit, and tasty desserts from local bakeries. Local brews will be on tap – bring your own pint cup and cash for the beer garden.
From the bandshell Wild & Scenic Film Festival Director, Melinda Booth will host a serious of not-to-miss features. After much anticipation, one very lucky raffle winner will leave the party with this stunning Raven West guitar, signed by Graham Nash. So set up your picnic blanket or lawn chairs, sit back and enjoy great company and dance to the inspiring music from Ayla Nereo and Scott Nice. Don’t forget your Throwback themed costume! More details on the party can be found here.
