SYRCL Has Mixed Reactions to the Closed-Door Yuba River Negotiations

On May 16th , Governor Newsom, along with Yuba Water Agency, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) and the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) held a press conference announcing efforts to build a fish passage canal around Daguerre Point Dam and begin a reintroduction trap-and-haul effort around New Bullards Bar Dam. The term sheet released by CDFW makes it clear that this agreement is “… a non-binding framework for developing a Settlement Agreement…” 

The South Yuba River Citizens League’s (SYRCL) reaction to the announcement is mixed.

NID’s Plan for Water Continues with an overview of Hydrologic Modeling System (HEC-HMS) development.

NID’s Plan for Water process continues on Tuesday, April 11. This meeting will take a deeper dive into Hydrology and Hydrography, with a presentation on Hydrologic Modeling System (HEC-HMS)development. The workshop will start at 4:00 p.m at NID’s main office and also via Zoom.

NID’s Plan for Water Continues with Hydrology and Hydrography.

NID’s Plan for Water process resumes on Tuesday, Feb. 21. As the Plan for Water takes on Stages 7-9, taking a fluid approach to the matrix, this meeting will focus primarily on Hydrology and Hydrography – the Reservoir Operations Model (ResSim Model). The workshop will start at 3:30 p.m. at NID’s main office and also via Zoom.
