Celebrating SYRCL’s State of the Yuba 2024
SYRCL held our annual State of the Yuba address at Gold Vibe Kombuchary in Grass Valley on Wednesday, April 17.
The State of the Yuba is SYRCL’s free, open to the public report to the watershed community. It’s also an invitation to take action for the river.
Over 100 community members came out to hear from our team about the condition of the river, SYRCL’s vision for the future, education and volunteer opportunities, current projects, challenges, recent successes, and more ways to get involved.
SYRCL also honored its Volunteer, Partner, and Sponsor of the Year, and our Education Director, Monique Streit, handed out SYRCL’s Environmentalist of the Year Scholarship Award.

The evening culminated with a speech by SYRCL’s Executive Director, Aaron Zettler-Mann, in which he spoke about the positives and the negatives of the current state of the watershed.
SYRCL thanks Gold Vibe Kombuchary, photographer Jason Scallin, and everyone who came out to show your interest in and support of the beautiful Yuba River watershed.
