SYRCL Sends Letter to NID: Place Moratorium on Centennial Dam Spending

NID has now postponed the DEIR for the Centennial Dam indefinitely, instead pivoting to their Raw Water Master Plan (RWMP). On April 25, the NID Board voted unanimously to approve $500,000 to update the RWMP, which will dictate NID’s water management strategy for the next 50 years. This could include the Centennial Dam.

SYRCL responded to this announcement by writing to NID and requesting a moratorium on all work and spending on the Centennial Dam. Check out our letter here.
