Van Norden Meadow Update [Video]
Ten years after the Truckee Donner Land Trust and partners purchased Van Norden Meadow (Yayalu Itdeh in Washoe) to save it from development, the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL) and the Tahoe National Forest (TNF) have broken ground on actions to restore the meadow.
Update: Van Norden Meadow Restoration Project
On April 1st, 2022, Nevada County, as a lead agency, released the Draft IS/MND CEQA Document for the Van Norden Meadow Restoration and Recreation Project, which is a project collaboration between the South Yuba River Citizens League and the Tahoe National Forest.
Van Norden Public Tour
Join us for a tour of Van Norden Meadow (Yayalu Idteh in Washoe) to learn more about the restoration and recreation plans for the meadow.
The tour will be led by Rachel Hutchinson from Tahoe National Forest and Alecia Weisman from the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL).
