In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, SYRCL’s River Education Programming is working to create opportunities for parents, educators and youth to still tap into learning, surrounding, cherishing, and cultivating excitement for Yuba Watershed. Even in your own backyard or at home, there are still lots of activities and citizen science projects that are available for children of all ages to learn to connect with our natural world.
The following list includes multiple interactive, multi-setting (indoor and outdoor) activities, as well as video recorded science lessons, inspiring films and other environmental education resources. While these resources are geared towards K-5 students, they could certainly be scaled up for older students. If you have any questions, or a need for further resources, please reach out to Ray Lubitz, SYRCL’s River Education Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
