California Wildfire and Forest Resilience Task Force: At the end of September the California Wildfire and Forest Resilience Task Force meeting made some announcements and presented some new tools. One of which is the Regional Resource Kit and Profile, the link to the Sierra Nevada one is here. Planscape was also announced. Tools from the Meeting to inform Land Management practices.

Prescribed fire program review: The Office of U.S. Forest Service Chief Randy Moore has published findings and recommendations from its 90-day national prescribed fire program review. This review was conducted during the Forest Service’s 90-day pause on prescribed fire, which followed the spring’s devastating wildfires in New Mexico.
