Winners Announced for Yuba River Cleanup ‘Trash or Treasure’ Contest

The results are in! During the Yuba River Cleanup we encourage volunteers to keep on the lookout for unique trash to enter into the ‘Trash or Treasure’ contest. This year we offered the contest online and let you vote for the winners in each category. 

We had some incredible entries this year. Below you’ll see this year’s winner in the following categories: Most Fashionable Find, Most Historical Find, Most Unusual Find, Most Useful Find, and (new this year) Most ‘Above & Beyond’ the Call of Duty.

    I love our community’s commitment to the beauty and health of our river and all the wildlife and human life who enjoy it and whom the flowing river serves. The annual Yuba River clean-up is a testament to the connections we share and to the honor and respect for the life we are given and for clean water. The Yuba is beauty and life, renewal and continuity.
