Wild & Scenic 2018 a Smashing Success

As Wild & Scenic Film Festival’s production team wraps up the 2018 festivities, we’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us to make it happen!

Our largest ever crowd kept the vibes high all weekend, over 700 stellar volunteers exhibited professionalism and teamwork, and dozens of filmmakers made the trek to the gorgeous Sierra foothills to enrich the experience for everyone. Plus, workshop hosts, lodging hosts, sponsors and many others converged to create this vibrant and inspirational event.

A record number of participants including more than 2,000 exuberant students enjoyed sunshine, workshops, outings, coffee talks and fireside chats, an Enviro Fair with live music, parties, and an incredible selection of environmental and adventure films.

Tickets sales reached an all-time high, and our team translated that into great success for South Yuba River Citizens League’s advocacy and fundraising goals. The Wild & Scenic Film Fest is the most important annual fundraiser for the organization’s year-round advocacy work, and our Stop Centennial Dam Campaign volunteers collected nearly 2,500 signatures during the film fest weekend alone (details).
