Protect the River You Love with a Matched Donation

A generous donor, who understands how vital SYRCL’s supporters are for safeguarding the Yuba, is offering a one-to-one match for all gifts made by December 31.

It’s a tough time to ask for financial help – food and gas prices are top of mind for everyone. But as Yuba stewards working to rebuild floodplains, bring back headwater meadows, and recover diminishing Yuba salmon populations, we must continue to ask for your support.

If making a lump-sum financial contribution is hard for you now, there are other ways to help SYRCL. These options are:

  • Making a smaller donation each month through our monthly giving program. It’s a greener way to support SYRCL since we don’t use paper or postage to send you renewal reminders.
  • Volunteering for our programs and events. Coming up in February is the Wild & Scenic Film Festival and volunteers are needed to help run our first in-person fest in three years.
  • Including SYRCL in your estate plans. Naming SYRCL as a beneficiary in your will, trust, insurance policy, or retirement accounts is an easy step to take today for higher impact in the future.
  • Asking your employer if they have a matching gift program. Your contributions to SYRCL in the past year may qualify and your employer could contribute to SYRCL in your name.

As I look towards SYRCL’s 40th anniversary in 2023, I see decades of work paying off at scale. This gives me hope that our efforts now and into the future will help mitigate the effects of drought, fire, and climate change in our region.

Please make a generous donation and help us take advantage of this incredible matching gift offer. Your contribution will be doubled, and jump start 40 more years of positive impact for the watershed.

For the Yuba,

Melinda Booth
