DESCRIPTION:Understanding Fuels/Fire Behavior to Build a Prescription: T
 he weather prescription is at the core of prescribed fire application. W
 eather is also the hardest factor to control! Placer PBA is hosting this
  training to help community members better understand weather prescripti
 ons and to introduce available tools and resources to PREDICT when a goo
 d weather window may be opening. Improving our ability to predict a pres
 cribed burning weather window will help us all prepare our units in time
 \, apply and obtain necessary permits\, meet due diligence standards and
  intelligently manage risk\, and ultimately lead to a more fire-resilien
 t community. The course will use prescription information to help landow
 ners begin building a burn plan.&nbsp\;This will be a great course to he
 lp prepare landowners planning for spring burns for invasive species man
 agement or those interested in preparing a burn plan for an early fall b
 urn.\n\n\n\nThis course is hands-on and will require participants to bri
 ng a laptop\, tablet\, or cell phone to look up resources during the cou
 rse. Minor preparatory work may be required. The course will be taught b
 y Placer RCD’s Cordi Craig\, Prescribed Fire Program Manager\, and Chr
 is Paulus\, Forestry Technical Advisor.\n\n\n\nThis course will be offer
 ed&nbsp\;twice&nbsp\;in two separate formats: 1) as two 2.5 hour weekday
  evening courses\, OR 2) as a 5-hour Saturday morning course.&nbsp\;Plea
 se register for whichever course setup fits your schedule best. Do not r
