It's time to summon your courage\, gather your teammates and don your thinking caps i n anticipation of SYRCL’s annual Brains of Nevada County event!\n\n\n\ nEnjoy an evening of friendly competition to help raise funds for the En vironmentalist of the Year Scholarship Fund. \;For the past sixteen years\, SYRCL has been proud to offer a four-year college scholarship to a graduating high school senior who has demonstrated a commitment to th e environment. Since 2002\, sixteen $4\,000 scholarships have been award ed.\n\n\n\nSpace fills quickly. To secure your table\, register today! T eams are made up of eight participants and the buy-in is $400 per table. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPrizes are bestowed upon the highest and lowest scorers\ , as well as the most spirited team. And\, players are encouraged to dre ss to impress in theme! Volunteers and parti cipants alike are encouraged dress to \;impress and help us make Qui z Night an adventure this year!\n\n\n\nSet Up: 12:00 - 4:00 \;PM\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nAre you a behind-the-scenes mover and shaker? \; Are you able to lift items up to 20+ pounds and carry awkward loads? \; Do you have experience preparing for events and making things sparkle?\n\n\ n\nWe are on the lookout for volunteers to help us transform the Peace L utheran Church into a Wizard of Oz wonderland. \;Before the event he lp us: pick up party materials\; unload supplies and food\; arrange the event space\; assemble tables and chairs\; set up tables with game mater ials\, center pieces\, menus\; hang signage\; affix directional parking signage\; prepare gift baskets\; assemble photo booth backdrop and props \, etc. \; Basically\, we need help prepping the space for an over-t he-rainbow party!\n\n\n\nKitchen: \;1:00 PM-4:00 PM\n\n\n\nCalling a ll Julia Child aspirants and Pinterest-recipe-loving party people! Help prepare a dazzling feast for Quiz Night players. \; This year we wil l be hand-making heavy hors d'oeuvres and desserts in the kitchen. \ ; This is a fun job for people who enjoy making tasty foods beautiful.&n bsp\; And\, like with any great day in the kitchen\, we will also need h elp washing dishes!\n\n\n\nRunner &\; Cleanup: \;6:00 PM-11:00 PM \n\n\n\nAre you quick-on-your-feet\, nimble\, multi-tasker? We are looki ng for people who can skirt between a galaxy of tables in what will be a PACKED house. Runners manage 2-3 tables each\, collecting and deliverin g answer sheets every round to the scorekeepers. Runners also act as bar liaisons\, taking bulk drink orders and delivering to tables. This job is for a 21+ year old outgoing person who can balance the pace of the ga me with the boozy habits of participants. Please note: this position is a 5-hour shift and includes cleanup! Cleanup entails: packing up all sup plies\, taking down signage\, disassembling chairs\, tables\, and the sc oreboard\, sweeping\, vacuuming\, loading and unloading (at the SYRCL of fice)\, taking out the trash\, etc. Many hands make light work.\n\n\n\nS corekeeper &\; Cleanup: \;6:00 PM-11:00 PM\n\n\n\nCalling all our RED PEN friends. Do you like to strike through errors? Are you the go-t o guy or gal for edits? We are looking for a fantastic team to help keep score. This is a fun and fast-paced job. Help us keep the game moving w ith the speedy review and tabulation of submitted answers each round of Quiz Night. Please note: this position is a 5-hour shift and includes cl eanup!
