DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, March 2 from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm at 17020 Placer
  Hills Road\, Meadow Vista Placer RCD will have a FREE prescribed fire w
 orkshop.&nbsp\;Placer County Resource Conservation District is hosting a
 n introductory prescribed fire workshop for community members and privat
 e landowners.&nbsp\;Residents interested in how and why the application 
 of prescribed fire is critical to the health of our community members\, 
 native plants and animals\, and forest health are encouraged to attend. 
 This workshop is paired with opportunities to participate in demonstrati
 on and training burns to gain boots-on-the-ground experience with Placer
  Prescribed Burn Association. This workshop will cover topics including 
 permitting\, liability\, fire effects on native plants\, heat management
 \, landowner resources\, unit prep and hazard mitigation\, and more. A p
