The Public H earing will continue on May 11\, \;as needed.\n\n\n\nWe are putting out a call to all individuals who oppose the Idaho-Maryland Mine to join us at the Planning Commission Meeting in person on Wednesday\, May 10 a nd make your position on the Idaho-Maryland Mine heard. \;This is on e of our last significant opportunities to publicly display community op position to the project before it comes before the Board of Supervisors and a final decision on the project is made. \;\n\n\n\nIf you can't attend the full day on May 10\, consider attending the morning or aftern oon session: 9:30 - 12:30 or 12:30 to 5:00. Consider blocking out May 11 \, as well.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhy is the Planning Commission meeting import ant?\n\n\n\nThe Planning Commission is charged with making two recommend ations to the Board of Supervisors: 1) whether the Final Environmental I mpact Report (FEIR) should be certified\, based on whether the analysis in the FEIR is complete and adequate and 2) whether to approve the proje ct. The Board of Supervisors will then consider the Commission’s recom mendation when they meet to take the final vote at a subsequent meeting. Your comments and participation are \;a critical part of this publi c process. \;\n\n\n\nThe Planning Department will issue a formal Not ice of Public Hearing for the Planning Commission Public Hearing in mid- April.
