SUMMARY:Aspen Volunteer Day -- 10/10/25
DESCRIPTION:Come volunteer at Loney Meadow\n\n\n\nLoney Meadow features 
 SYRCL's first meadow and aspen restoration project. At this site SYRCL h
 as been collecting data on the effectiveness of cattle exclusion fencing
  surrounding two aspen stands within the meadow complex. \n\n\n\n\nREGIS
 TER HERE\n\n\n\n\nEach year SYRCL installs the fencing before the cattle
  arrive at the meadow\, then removes the fencing before winter after the
  cattle have left. This is a wonderful opportunity to help SYRCL with th
 is study\, and to see the meadow and aspen at the start of fall. \n\n\n
 \nWe will be at a high elevation so be sure to bring water and snacks to
  stay hydrated during the day. \n\n\n\nThis is a more intensive work day
  where we will work with panel fencing\, T posts\, barbed wire\, carryin
 g heavy equipment\, and walking over uneven terrain. \n\n\n\nThere is no
  cell service at Loney Meadow\, a SYRCL employee will bring a SPOT devic
 e for satellite communication. \n\n\n\nPlease bring: \n\n\n\n\nLunch\n
 \n\n\nWork Clothing\n\n\n\nWork Gloves\n\n\n\nSun Protection\n\n\n\nWate
 r\n\n\n\n\nSYRCL will provide:\n\n\n\n\nSpare Work Gloves\n\n\n\nTools\n
 \n\n\nSafety Glasses\n\n\n\n\nIf you prefer to use your own tools\, safe
 ty glasses\, or work gloves you are welcome to bring your own.\n\n\n\n T
 he Loney Meadow trailhead requires a high clearance vehicle to access fr
 om Bowman Lake Road. If you are unable to reach the trailhead\, please e
