DESCRIPTION:Please join SYRCL in celebrating the 14th annual Nisenan Her
 itage Day on Saturday\, November 4th from 11am to 3pm at Sierra College 
 NCC. Nisenan Heritage Day is put on by the Nevada City Rancheria Nisenan
  Tribe and CHIRP. \n\n\n\nThere will be&nbsp\;speakers\, short films\, 
 art\, and more great opportunities to learn about the Nevada City Ranche
 ria Nisenan Tribe\, their efforts toward Federal Recognition and much mo
 re. This is an all ages event! There will be a kid's area and activities
 . There will be some snacks and water available.&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nOpening W
 elcome and introductions begin at 11 AM. &nbsp\;\n\n\n\nFree event. Free
  parking.&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis year’s Nisenan Heritage Day: Chan
 ging Perspectives will explore subjects where we have seen great movemen
 t and positive change from the Tribe’s perspective\, such as LandBack\
 , Land Acknowledgements\, etc. They will also discuss areas that remain 
 stagnant or resistant\, such as funding for staff and places of misinfor
 mation. They’ll talk about advocacy and being in right relationship\, 
 the importance of partnerships and allies in this work\, as well as shar
 ing the ongoing capacity issues and places that still need support. They
  will also offer pathways for how community members can take on self-edu
 cation and pollinating what they learn in their own networks. There will
  be many important conversations that they hope you will come be a part 
 of. &nbsp\;
