This month SYRCL’s Wild & Scenic Film Festival will go On Tour to twenty-four communities across North America, collaborating with environmental groups in celebration of Earth Day. The films selected for Wild & Scenic On Tour not only take audiences to some of the most remote and beautiful places on the planet, but introduce them to the magnificent animals that inhabit these places and the courageous individuals who are working to protect and preserve both for future generations.

On Tour Stamp No YearEarth Day celebrations featuring Wild & Scenic On Tour will reach audiences in twenty-three cities, sixteen states, and two countries ultimately engaging more than 5,000 individuals.  Audiences can expect to see a diverse menu of environmental films that delve into themes such as energy, climate change, conservation, wildlife, community activism, environmental justice, and adventure.

Film is a powerful medium which can educate, inspire, and motivate people to go out and make a difference in their community and around the world.  Audiences are continuing to grow more informed about global issues and become inspired to take local action. The Wild & Scenic On Tour serves as a national, and potentially international, platform for local engagement in environmental and social justice issues.
