SalmonAid is a volunteer-based organization of commercial fisherman, river advocates and Native American Tribes working together throughout the Pacific West to Restore Rivers, Recover wild salmon, and Rebuild jobs.

SYRCL is a member of SalmonAid and will be supporting “Salmon Month” in September 2010 at the Aquarium of the Bay with a special “Wild & Scenic Salmon Cinema” film program. Check back for more details and specific dates for a full month of salmon-related events in San Francisco.

In the meantime, support the Yuba’s wild salmon by printing (double sided, card stock) and sending the appeal to the Obama Administration to save salmon through the removal of the most problematic dams in the West—those that put wild salmon at risk of extinction and provide marginal value to society.
