Introduction to Fly Fishing 101 a Success!

On Saturday, October 28, 2023, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at our office in Nevada City, Clay Hash (of Fly Fishing Traditions), held Fly Fishing 101. This workshop involved classroom instruction in the morning and a fly fishing equipment demonstration at Pioneer Park in the afternoon. 

15 people, from beginners to pros, filled up the workshop and learned about the fly rod, fly lines, and their assembly; fly casting; the bugs that fish eat and how to match them with flies; fish catching tactics; trout and their habitat; and the Catch and Release Ethic.
