A Special Thanks to SYRCL’s Volunteers

Downtown Nevada City and Grass Valley were abuzz with an army of helping hands and bright smiles this past weekend. Months of visioning, logistics preparation, film screenings and art submissions culminated in the 15th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival. This five-day extravaganza was powered by more than six hundred volunteers who collectively worked 3,000+ hours to produce this meaningful and inspiring event. Read more >>

At The Edge

The weekend of the Wild and Scenic Film Festival, put together by the South Yuba River Citizen’s League (SYRCL) is one of my favorite weekends here at home in western Nevada County. The towns come alive with smiling tourists donning puffy jackets. Locals take to volunteer shifts. Social Media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram buzz with accolades about our county. Our inns and restaurants fill with patrons and excited talk about the films and activities surrounding the festival. I applaud SYRCL for bringing such a quality event to our backyards. Read more >>
