POLICY AND COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

SYRCL is seeking a seasoned advocate and manager with excellent leadership, communication, community organizing and coalition-building skills. The Director will be highly skilled in using policy, advocacy, legal, scientific and communication tools to protect the watershed. The Director will also be experienced at managing grassroots campaigns, building strategic coalitions, mentoring program staff, and raising funds. Duties will be primarily dedicated to the Stop Centennial Dam and Yuba Salmon Now campaigns as well as communications and general advocacy on a variety of current issues. DETAILS & APPLICATION

STEWARDSHIP COORDINATOR

The Stewardship Coordinator provides a central role in recruiting and coordinating volunteers from the community to serve in a variety of programs, and acts as a point person for SYRCL conducting education and outreach for our projects. The Stewardship Coordinator is responsible for the oversight, management and production of a successful River Ambassador Program involving approximately 40 volunteers over the summer as well as hiring, training, and supervising three part-time River Captain employees. The Stewardship Coordinator will be responsible for outreach and volunteer coordination at SYRCL community events, develop outreach and training materials, coordinate volunteer trainings, present to schools and community groups and participate in grant writing projects. EDUCATIONAL ASSEMBLY PRESENTER

SYRCL’s River Education Program seeks a dynamic presenter to act as “Detective Drizzle” in our Great Water Mystery assemblies.  Each presenter will be responsible for approximately 30 school assemblies in the Spring and Fall of 2017. SYRCL office staff will schedule the presentations and handle all pre-assembly logistics. The performer will NOT be responsible for these details.
