We have had another stupendous River Ambassador season at the Yuba. Thanks to their passion and dedication, our River Ambassadors spoke to a record-number of Yuba River visitors; 9,643 to be exact! They picked up 7,935 pieces of trash, handed out 463 bio-degradable dog waste bags, and picked up 583 piles of dog waste, a total of 1,046 piles of dog waste did not end up in the river or on the shoreline.

River Ambassador season may be over, but we still have the 19th Annual Yuba River Cleanup on Saturday, September 17th! And it’s not too late to register, but registration closes today, so sign up now.

River Ambassadors started as an extension of the Cleanup–as a way to do more to protect the river we all love. Register for the Cleanup, from 9am-1pm on Saturday and then join us for the Volunteer Appreciation Party from 1-4pm in Pioneer Park.
