This Saturday: Growing Green for the Yuba

Share with Your People

If you are a medical marijuana patient, provider, advocate, business owner, farmer or simply a Yuba River-lover concerned about the environmental impacts of cannabis cultivation in our watershed, then this workshop is for you!

This Saturday, March 21st, SYRCL has organized an all-day workshop on sustainable and ecological friendly cannabis cultivation techniques. The workshop will include talks on water management, erosion management, soil management, nutrient use, regulations, and how to control pests naturally.

Workshop Schedule

This event is a first step to inspire the community to engage in sustainable and ecologically sound cannabis cultivation here in the Yuba watershed. As a community, we recognize that the overuse of chemical pesticides and herbicides, diversion and storage of water, and alteration of the terrain and vegetation lead to pollution and algae blooms in our streams and rivers, loss of late season stream flow, and the inadvertent poisoning of wildlife.
