Announcing the winners of the 2015 WSFF membership prize drawing

We are thrilled to announce that 38 people signed up for membership at our outreach tables during the 2015 Wild & Scenic Film Festival. Nineteen new members and nineteen renewing members helped us to surpass a $400 matching challenge set by new Emerald Circle members Nancy Herrick & Roger Morrison.

Everyone joining or renewing during film festival weekend was entered into a drawing for three prizes. Congratulations to our winners:

First prize: one complimentary weekend pass to the 2016 Wild & Scenic Film Festival

Ron & Lisa Haennelt of Grass Valley (who were inspired to become members by their son’s appearance in the film “River Music,” featured at this year’s festival).

Second prize: invitation for two to join SYRCL Board & staff on a Salmon Tour of the Yuba in fall 2015

Third prize: two complimentary tickets to the 2015 Wild for the Yuba Beer & Wine Tasting Event at the North Star House (June 6)

Join us next Wednesday, February 11 from 6:00-8:00pm at the SYRCL office, eat tasty pizza and accompany staff while we call members to ask them to renew their membership.  SYRCL dues-paying members are a vital component of both our fundraising and political strategies, and hearing directly from volunteers who are passionate about the Yuba watershed makes a huge difference.
