WE NEED ONE MORE VOLUNTEER TO ASSIST WITH COOKING AND RESERVING CAMPSITES

Two volunteers are need to help host and cook for volunteers who will be working hard to improve aspen habitat in the high country.

On Friday, August 26, 2011, volunteers will be working to control conifers that are crowding out aspens.  Click here to learn about the aspen project.  We need Support Volunteers who are willing to:

• Arrive at the Rucker Lake campsite by 10am, Friday, August 26, 2011 to reserve sites for the volunteers
• Prepare dinner for up to 22 volunteers and staff that evening in a primitive cooking environment
• Assist with clean-up after dinner
• Assist SYRCL staff with grocery shopping on Thursday, August 25, 2011 and be willing to take groceries home and to the campground the next morning

Benefits:   Free time to enjoy the outdoors: hiking, biking, swimming, or relaxing during the day after the campsites are reserved.  Enjoy an evening of camping with the volunteers or the freedom to go home after dinner.  Stay for a day of service on Saturday, August 27, 2011 and help encourage aspens populations that are in decline or know that you did your part by supporting the volunteers.  Above all, a big round of appreciation from all the volunteers and staff!
