Announcing a NEW and IMPROVED Approach to SYRCL’s Membership Program
SYRCL has a new (and improved!) approach to our membership program—we think that you’ll appreciate it, too.
Rather than sending out letters to our members throughout the year, based on the anniversary date of your past membership support, we’ll be creating a “Membership Year,” which coincides with the shift in
our fiscal year that begins July 1st, 2011.
Here’s the gist of what it means for you, whether you are a new member or an existing member:
- Annual memberships will be effective from July 1, 2011 – June 30, 2012 consolidating all our membership renewals into one period of time in the year. These efficiencies alone will save us valuable staff time, which can be re-dedicated toward our programs and campaigns.
- Each year, we’ll send out renewal reminders in the spring by email and invite you to renew for the next “SYRCL Membership Year.”
Renew now, securely on-line for monthly or yearly memberships by credit card or you can download a printable membership form to mail in with your check. You will receive membership benefits until June 30, 2012!
You’ll receive the wonderful benefits and perks of a SYRCL membership:
- Discounts on tickets to SYRCL events such as the Wild & Scenic Film Festival, Wild for the Yuba (wine and beer tasting event), Yuba River Salmon Tours, and Yuba Excursions;
- Free film rentals from our Wild & Scenic Festival Library—now spanning 9 years and containing several hundred inspirational environmental and adventure films from around the world (local circulation only);
- SYRCL’s E-newsletter, “Keeping Current in the Yuba”, which can be customized to get just the right information on our programs and campaign that works for you;
- And, above all, the opportunity to directly propel our work to return wild salmon to historic habitats, build a community of “RiverPeople” monitoring, managing and restoring the Yuba River, and sharing stories of inspiration and action across the nation through our Wild & Scenic Film Festival programs.
So, please, take a moment right now to renew your commitment to the Yuba, and to your community-driven organization. You have enabled SYRCL to be the conscience, the voice and the muscle behind campaigns that for nearly 30 years have resulted in the protection and restoration of the Yuba River—the lifeblood of our community.
You’ll get great perks, advance ambitious and successful projects to heal our river and watershed. On behalf of the SYRCL Staff and Board of Directors, we thank every volunteer and member for their support in whatever way is possible for you.
