Down By the Bay

Enjoy the wind in your hair on a sailing adventure for up to four people in the San Francisco Bay, touring Angel Island, Tiburon, Sausalito, the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco water front, Treasure Island and returning to Emery Cove. The sail will be aboard the sailing vessel Daydreams, a Pearson 385 custom cruising sail boat that has logged thousands of miles cruising the west coast of California and Mexico. Participants can help with sail handling and even steer the boat. Lunch not included. Your Captain, Joe Day, just stepped down from being the Commodore of our own local Gold Country Yacht Club. Winning bidder will need to provide their own transportation to and from Emery Cove Marina in Emeryville.

Added to the day, is a gift certificate for a meal from the restaurant Fish, located adjacent to the docks in Sausalito. The many picnic-style tables make it a fun, casual dining experience. The best part of the experience may be just knowing what you are eating is sustainable seafood. The attention to sustainable and organic can be seen throughout the menu. Fish is open seven days a week, so come on down to the water and eat the freshest and most sustainable choices in food you’ll find anywhere.

And to add elegance to your Bay Adventure, enjoy a 2-night getaway for two people (with options for 2 more staying on the convertible couch) in San Francsico. Stay in a prestigious Nob Hill Edwardian built 1911. The elegant one-bedroom suite is decorated with English antiques, and a full kitchen. You are only a five-minute walk to fabulous shopping at Union Square and the theatre district and a short jaunt to Chinatown, North Beach and the financial district. A continental breakfast is available for a fee. Wine and cheese is available in the lobby at 4:00 pm, and Sherry is offered at 8:00 pm. The timeshare is located at Powell and Pine, across the street from the Stanford Court and one block from the Mark Hopkins. Parking easily around the corner at the Masonic garage.

Available anytime but reservations required in advance especially for a weekend.

Package donated by  SYRCL Members Melinda and Joe Day (Sailing adventure), Patty Gregory (Lodging), and Kenny Belov of Fish Restaurant of Sausalito.
