SYRCL’s Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival is seeking a dynamic Sponsorship Sales Liaison to join our 2011 Festival Team.

The 9^th annual Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival is January 14-16, 2011 in Nevada City, CA. It is held over 3 days, featuring 135 films in 8 venues with an attendance of over 3500, and is the largest festival of its kind. Past celebrity attendees include Patrick Stewart, Darryl Hannah, Peter Coyote, Winona LaDuke and Julia Butterfly.

Responsibilities will include the following:

• Research leads for potential event sponsors locally and nationally which may include corporations, foundations, media, business and individual sponsors
• Nurture and expand existing sponsor relationships
• Update database and spreadsheets

Some great qualities you possess:

• Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written)
• Ability to establish rapport quickly and maintain relationships
• Excellent organizational and follow up skills

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office plus FileMaker Pro
• Rolodex of potential sponsors
• Proven history of sponsorship sales
• Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency

Pluses would be:

• Passion for the environment, Yuba Watershed, and films
• Understanding of the Wild & Scenic  Environmental Film Festival
